New Years Past

It was New Year's Eve years ago that I gave life to my daughter in Texas surrounded by a boyfriend, friends, clubs, concerts, and parties. Without my dating and friends my honors student daughter would not be alive. I hate my sister Lily Duran forever for dragging me to the toilet hole called Virginia where I have no boyfriend, no dating, no friends, and no parties. I have no real joy in the sewer of agony and crime that is Virginia. All my doctors tests showed me healthy, virus free, and clean at this month's doctor testing, but that is not good enough here. The horror is the clearest of all on this New Year's Eve the worst I have had in years which used to be the best yearly night of all.

Game Ring

I am going to ring in the New Year playing PC video games. I have reactivated some PC games on Adventure Quest 3D (user Poedaughterz Blue Dragon server free on Steam games), Genshin Impact (user UID 683053596 Poedaughterz), Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 (Poedaughterz on Steam), Pokemon Go (user ID 942584611615), Rec Room (@poedaughter7 free on Steam), and Tarisland (Eu-1 Poedaughterz free on Steam games) to chat with friends. If you know me online please add me to friends. My vehicle is not working well enough this month to drive to my favorite nearby towns in freezing rain. Downtown Virginia has no other thing to socialize with, but criminal human sewage I have fled in terror from years ago. Every Virginia dance club is a disgusting liar pit I NEVER want to see again in my nightmares. The great thing about online chat parties is the game provides battle clothes, music, hairstyles, and tavern for drinks, and you don't have to spend a million dollars on Lyft and Uber when you have a mount in the game. Game parties are the obvious wave of the future.

Hog Holiday

How did I not know "Hogfather" the British holiday comedy has moved from Netflix to Amazon Prime? Santa gets kidnapped by ghosts and the Grim Reaper has to save Christmas. It sounds scary but it is way more PG Monty Python than scary. I watched it on Netflix as I have been a fan of Terry Pratchett since I was a kid, but it shot over to Amazon when they made the "Good Omens" book into a TV movie. I am rereading the books on Kindle this holiday for certain.

Theory of Everything

"Sick people usually aren't smart." Is a strangely frequent statement in a week where a CEO killer has hit the news. I am rewatching "The Theory of Everything" streaming on Prime video as a reminder of how true that statement is not. Insulting a person for the color of their skin they were born with or religion is bullying, a slur, and abusive. Insulting a sick person for their brain or body health they were born with and calling them crazy, not smart, and bad is also bullying, a slur, and abusive. I think "The Theory of Everything" 2014 is a great movie, and I give it a five star review.

Not A Luxury

In the early 2000s I tried to join the Army to get full time work and healthcare. A year and a half later I had not finished basic training due to asthma attacks, never got benefits or healthcare, and had to go to rape counseling for years due to extreme military abuse causing depression. I graduated high school on the honors program, and completed my University degree as I had no depression before then. Lack of healthcare began horrific pain in my life lasting years. Our healthcare system doesn't sometimes blame the victims; it always blames the victims. I still don't have healthcare from my job. Bernie Sanders did not win the presidential election, and a man was elected that has tried to destroy what few advances Obamacare was able to make. He also destroyed funding to female rape programs as he has been accused of rape 13 times. People are shot every day, but the CEO killer is making News due to the fear that he may be the first killer in mass waves of violence against the government unless real changes happen.

I am a teacher right now, and there are big debates on how to be a role model for behavior. Meanwhile when I was a kid people watched cartoon characters blowing each other up, and that was just a-okay. In real life no one is perfect.

Last Day

I am still working at Amazon, but about to go on leave. My other job called me two weeks ago needing me to work more hours so I put in notice. One of the rough things about being at a crazy job is they are all crazy jobs, and you just have to find what crazy works for you. At Amazon they drug test constantly so at least it leaves a long paper trail on me not being a party animal at all. I have never failed a drug test at any job, and this reference helps prove it. Ironically a huge set of news reports dropped on Amazon right as I was packing up.

First Pet

I will miss the first pet dogs most of all. Remember when the worst thing about the White House was the crazy shelter-adopted biting dogs? We will all miss those days soon. Meanwhile Trump is one of only three people elected that did not bring a pet to the White House as a fun fact. A real lesson in pet owners and empathy in people.

Halloween Party Songbyrd DC 2024

Here are my top photos from the Halloween party at Songbyrd DC friends helped me attend. The costume contest with the Queen of the Damned and Aliens was great! Dancing to an amazing retro 80s DJ was great. DC even has a University street called Avenue Q, and I was parked near there. It was also great to get slightly away from the garbage hole of Virginia I hate completely. Unfortunately they announced the party was over at 11:30 PM closing time. What is this a crazed super Christian town from the Footloose movie? When I went to dance clubs in Texas they didn't close until 2 AM, and later on Halloween. When I went to dance clubs in New Orleans they closed at 4 AM around Halloween. Clubs did not even start shows until 10 PM at night on week nights when I went to New Orleans a few years ago. Around Virginia they think night life starts around lunch time which sucks crap. It was a vivid reminder of why there are many fact reasons I am always trying to leave this area for every holiday, and will leave again in the future. DC was not far enough away at all which was dog poo sacks of disappointing.

Pomegranate Tales

Many people know that Persephone was married to Hades due to eating candy-like pomegranates. However, the yearly time she went back to the underworld was October. This is an often overlooked origin to the Halloween story, and spirits traveling the roads of the Earth from the underworld in October asking for candy. The holiday was popular time for travel.

Event Nights

There are good events happening in DC and Maryland it turns out in 2024. I thought my Halloween was destroyed by the need for car and RV emergency repairs. I had planned to go to Texas and New Orleans to see childhood school friends for the holiday. I am single so I was hoping to talk to guys. I have met nothing but the most grotesque and abusive human sewage ever born going out in Virginia downtown so that is never happening again. A lucky break happened in that friends are going to DC and Maryland for events there, and can give me a ride. Halloween 2024 is not my wishlist dream, but it will have some fun things to do.

Mini RV Cancel

I have a mini RV, but the hitch rusted apart and broke. This has cancelled my New Orleans travel for October. Next time I will just get a hotel, or plan to sleep in a sleeping bag in my car. I wanted to carry more stuff, and have more room when traveling. I thought I could travel more often, and longer, and not needing hotels in an RV. The RV has been an epic money pit, and it was eating my travel money. If I had taken the payment money for the RV and put it in a travel account it would have done twice as well. The rust bucket has destroyed my October as I did not go to many concerts I wanted to see locally as I was purchasing supplies for the RV. Then it rusted over and broke when I tried to use it today! It sucked! I am selling it off this time for sure!

Trip Delay

October always means I want to see friends and family from the past. I was heading to New Orleans and then Austin, Texas to see friends, family, and music shows. Unfortunately I got sick and had to go to the hospital emergency room yesterday. I am therefore only going to be able to see New Orleans on Halloween with no concerts. For Austin music I am going to miss October entirely. I will have to go on longer trips later on because there are just too many limits this month. Better late than never. I am seriously considering moving to another town, and so travel back and forth will not be such an issue. I hate Virginia with all of my soul, and so any reason to get out of it is a good one in my book.
